As the first productive app deployed via the SAP Landscape Portal, it enables seamless integration without media disruptions or additional infrastructure. Developed in close collaboration with SAP, ShipConnect supports a scalable, clean-core architecture that aligns with SAP’s strategic vision. It automates shipping processes, label creation, and tracking, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency for high-volume logistics environments.

 

Installation is streamlined through the SAP Store and Landscape Portal, allowing fast deployment into development, test, or production systems. Customers benefit from standardized interfaces and a simplified onboarding process. Future enhancements include broader carrier integration, automated shipping rules, and warehouse system connectivity—positioning ShipConnect as a leader in cloud-native logistics innovation.

A Milestone for SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud

With the launch of Shipping Manager ShipConnect, Orise marks a major milestone in cloud-native logistics: ShipConnect is the first productive app available via the SAP Landscape Portal, fully integrated into SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud – without media disruptions and without additional BTP infrastructure.

From Delivery Models to Scalable Architecture

During the development journey, we explored various delivery models such as One-off and Multi-off Delivery to understand how shipping processes could be mapped in the Public Cloud. These approaches helped shape our understanding but were ultimately replaced by a more robust solution.

The breakthrough came with the SAP Landscape Portal, enabling a truly scalable delivery architecture that aligns with SAP’s Clean Core principles. ShipConnect is the result of this evolution – and the first app to go live in this environment.

Architecture & Integration

ShipConnect is built for seamless integration. It is listed in the SAP Store and deploys directly into SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud via the Landscape Portal. No additional infrastructure is required, and implementation is fast thanks to standardized interfaces.

This achievement was made possible through close collaboration with SAP, particularly with Jörg Rieth and the SAP Public Cloud team.

How to Access ShipConnect for SAP

Installation & Getting Started

The onboarding process is standardized and simple:

  • Find the product: Search for Shipping Manager ShipConnect in the SAP Store.
  • Request a quote: Customers can request a quote and negotiate directly with the partner.
  • Review & contract: The partner reviews the quote and creates a deal and contract via the SAP Store Partner Cockpit.
  • Register the product: Customers use the Discover Product app in the SAP Landscape Portal to register the app in their system landscape.
  • Deploy the product: Deployment is handled via the Deploy Product app in the Landscape Portal, targeting development, test, or production systems.
  • Start using ShipConnect: Once deployed, the app is ready to use – no additional infrastructure or BTP setup required.
